testing the power steering pump

testing the power steering pump

Hi everyone. I am working on my V50 2005. I am trying to test the power steering pump. I cant get it to work in the vehicle so I do not know if the pump is bad or if there is something going on elswhere.
This is the electric hydraulic pump so there should be a way to run it out of the vehicle.
here is a picture of the pump as well as a PDF file showing some info as well.
If anyone can get schematics for the pump system that would be most helpful.

Can you check these - there is another page of trobleshooting in VADIS but my system won't let me print it for some reason. Maybe someone else can help out.
