Heater fan speed control faulty' - '96 850 estate

Post by Ant »

Hello all,

Starting with great thanks to Matt (our son's called Matt but we exercise a parents' prerogative and call him Matthew, he seems happy with that!)

The heating fan speed control only works with e switch on "max" so presumably there are either resistors or a solid-state controller somewhere with a wire off. I've looked behind the glove compartmment and it's a maze. To save me opening all the wiring harness to trace colours, where to look for the relevant bit?

Thankyou in anticipation - Ant

The resistor pack on the top of the fan unit needs to be replaced
