Well this past week I installed a charcoal air filter and testing it out i've noticed a sweet smell coming from the vents. I thought it was the filter. Okay, I leave it in there and hope it clears out. It's been a week, and whenever I enter my car (particularly when its warm inside), I keep getting that smell.
Now I read somewhere (I think some volvo FAQ) that a sweet smell can mean the (impending) failure of the blower motor or something. I hope this isn't true.
Smells like lemon pie (fresh from the oven)... mmm, lemon pie...
My car smells like pie (yum).
Coolant seems fine, no leaks or anything. I thought coolant tasted sweet, not smelled sweet (not that actually tried it). The smell was first noticed right after the pollen filter install.
I'll try the system without the poleen filter for a little bit and hopefully that should diagnose the problem.
