She came out of the house (as did a bunch of neighbors) & didn’t understand what was going on so while sweating blood, I had to explain it to her. (In front of same said neighbors)...

Hahaha, that made me laugh. Thank you for the complements although I don;t know that I deserve them but I do hope that this will encourage people to not forget the simple things like blocking your wheels and using level ground for working on your car.

Back in high school, my parents would take whichever car was in back when they had to run out at night. Since I got home late-ish, it would usually be mine. I went out to warm it up and scrape the ice off one morning, not realizing my mom had left the parking brake off (manual transmission), and when I came back I found my car wedged up under the back end of dad's brand new Jeep. Didn't hurt either, but I would have never heard the end of it

I had a remote start in my manual 86 prelude, one morning after getting in real late the night before I remote started the car, made my coffee and went out front to find it 4 houses down in the back of my neighbours truck I had forgot to leave it in neutral!
Had to replace his bumper, and the 'lude had a nasty rinkle in the hood from then on.

Yeah! They are deserved but don't let it go to your head whippersnapper! ... It's about safety which you have already figured out.
