Radio displays "CODE"
I recently purchased a 1998 V70 and I love it. The only problem (other than the oil leak, yikes) is that the radio will not allow me to input the code to get it to work. I've read the manual and done what it says, have the key in the I position for two hours with the radio on until it displays "CODE." But it never did display "CODE." I have tried more than once, and have even unplugged the unit completely and plugged it back in and tried again, but nothing worked. Help please!

Mine took about 2 hrs, 45 minutes for it to go back. I checked after 2 hrs, and 2 1/2 hrs, and it hadn't reset yet, so if you haven't got it to go back in just 2, wait longer.
Some of them just mess up entirely, though.

it doesn't display anything. when i first turn the car on it shows "OFF" so i hit the power button and it goes blank. I just assumed that meant it was on because it was still receiving powerJRL wrote:What does it display?

You have to leave the ignition on is position "I" for 2 1/2-3hrs otherwise your radio will still show "OFF" and a blank screen is a sign that there is no power to the unit.

If it's blank, you have a problem.
Either the fuse blew for some reason or your radio is toast
It MUST say either OFF or CODE.
If it says "ERR" or it's blank, it's bad news
