Service Intervals

Post by Sarel5984 »

I intend servicing my S60 at home myself. Does anyone have the regular intervals to replace spark plugs, air filter, Oil filter, fuel filter and cabin pollin filter. I know some of these components have longer service periods than other and I do not want to replace all at every service.

I further would like to know what it is that triggers the 'service' light on the dash. Is it only milage or does it measure engine run time or even condition of air filter. The reason for my question is that my service light came on after only 4000 Miles from the previous service (by the dealer) and I believe the intervals should be at least 10 000 miles.

On my 850, the service light comes on via predetermined schedule. I believe it's miles or time, whatever comes first. The dealer here in Seattle kindly set it to the max time interval of 12 or 18 months, can't remember which.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

I was able to find this on the volvo website...under Owners Info, the search for your info...I try to add a link but not sure if it will work:
