oil type? Topic is solved

My parents just bought a 2000 S40. I recomended synthetic oil because of the turbo, however they quoted the car's books that read that non-synthetic oil is used.

I wonder if Volvo has changed this recomendation or not.

Your thoughts?

You should use synthetic becuase the turbos require extensive lubrication especially if you live in hot climates like arizona.
