Peter, please type in normal case... capitalize the first letter of the first word of a sentence, and proper nouns. The rest leave lowercase.

The forum rules are a good thing to read, like you agreed to when you registered.

We'll need some background. We're usually better at helping if you tell us what happened to your Volvo: when the fault occurred, what you've done, symptoms, recent work, past maintenance history, mileage and other related info, instead of just a code.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

1998 V70, no dash lights on

How to Thank someone for their post

This is how you type, NOT LIKE THIS! Turn off the CAP lock
Unfortunately this is an 01, known for bad transmissions. You did not state the mileage but an internal fault like this is usually terminal.
You probably will need a new (or used) transmission. (which is how it is spelled)
Mod note. Jim passed away in early 2022, his contributions to this forum are immortal, and he is missed. RIP
