850 turbo door won't lock

I have a '96 850 turbo with the door switch stuck in the off position (pressed down into the door panel) the only problem is, the door isn't locked at all, and the auto locks won't lock it either. Does anyone know the fix for this?

I have the same problem with mine. Would it by chance be the front passenger door?

It is either a broken connection from the shaft to the lock or a broken lock assembly itself. The only way to find out for sure is to remove the door panel and inspect the lock.

yeah actually it is the very same door. Is this a pretty common problem? maybe a faulty locking mechanism or something?
