Another A/C question
Can low A/C freon level cause code to be stored in the climate control unit? My A/C and REC LED's are blinking and wondering it could be the low level freon. Everything seems to be in working condition with the A/C just blinks upon start up.

No. Mine has flashed off and on for 3 years; last time I had the code read it was because the 'blower motor draws too much current'. I've been waiting on it to die, and have a spare, and it doesn't make funny noises or hasn't stopped working yet.
Try blowing out the little dash air vent (by the INFO/TRACS/sunroof switches) with a can of compressed air and see if it stops flashing at you.

Thanks for your quick replies, I already tried blowing some air into the interior air vent by the sunroof switch, but it didn't stop the flashing. I'm going to call the Volvo dealer tomorrow to see how much they charge to read the codes. I curious of those who had their codes read by the dealer, how much do they usually charge?

Probably between $50-80.
I had mine in at the time for something else, and struck up a conversation with the mechanic while he was working on it, and he plugged in the computer and read the codes for free

Remember to tell them that they actually write down the codes and hand them to you.
There are tons of lists about those error codes, even repair manuals (Haynes) should have them listed.
This way it's less likely that they want to charge you for a followup repair that's unneccessary, when you have the codes yourself you can inspect the "faulty" systems first.
Sometimes a loose wire is all it takes to make the car or one of its systems go bananas, but if you don't know where to look...
