High Beam Switch

I have a 2003 S80 and recently I have been unable to get high beam no matter what I do to the stalk. I suspect the switch mechanism may be u/s but I don't know. Could anyone help or tell me the cheapest way to rectify the problem? I would really appreciate your help or advice. adarin1407

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

Have you checked the high beam relay in the #2 fascia fuse box? It is in position #9.

Is your light switch dial set for daytime lights? If not, you must turn the dial accordingly and then
you'll have function of your high beams.

Thanks also to billofdurham. I was about to check the fuses when 537playing hit the nail on the head, viz. my ignorance!!!
