My 2004 s40 T5 is turning off, power engine loss?

My 2004 s40 T5 is turning off, power engine loss?

So my volvo has been turning off after i turn on the car, so i take the keys out of the ignition, wait 2 mins and turn the car back on, it runs again but not as strong as before, now today the car turned off 3 times and its dying, is it the battery? Need to know what to do next? I can only go to 45 mph cause anymore then that the car jolts or starts to slow down like if its about to die.
