In dash changer in my 2001 s60 t5

Post by tastygroove »

does anyone know how to remove the in dash changer from the 2001 s60. i'm looking to install a 'carputer' and i'm having a bit of trouble planning the whole thing becuase i can't find any repair manuals or wiring diagrams for the car. i'd go ahead and just start ripping things apart, but it's my new baby and i don't want to do anything wrong. so, do i have to remove any panels to remove screws? i have no idea...

also, does anyone know a good place where i can find out info about my stock stereo system, or the wiring in the car?

thanks!

Do you have two flip-out pins on either side? They get pressed in one end and flip out a little handle on the other.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

nope, no flip out pins. i have the hu-803 4 disk in-dash changer. the face is smooth and is flush against the molding all around it. there are no pins or latches or screws that i can find anywhere.

I recently removed the stereo and a/c panels to install a cup holder it was very simple it took me 20 minutes.. you must start by removing the plastic piece with the pen holder which will expose the screws a/c panel has clips holding it in place may need a little pull to remove but each step exposes screws very simple!!!!!! CRUTCHFIELD SHOULD HAVE INSTALLATION DIAGRAMS FOR THE S60
