EDIT Groupthink here at MVS and Volvospeed points to A32-37, not A32-B38! The image directly below is incorrect in this regard.

Albeit a bit blurry, this is correct.

My daughter came home griping about a P0410 the other day and the car sounded like a Cessna Citation running down the taxiway. This sounds golden since we don't smog cars in this neck of the woods. Even if you did smog a car I don't see why it wouldn't work if it shut off the CEL / Lambda light and the car was hot when you took it in.

Added to the repair database.

Does this mean that the check engine (DTC P0410) re: SAS prob. will no longer appear once this procedure is done? Currently I
have this DTC on my car. I replaced the SAS valve 2 yrs. ago so could it be bad again. Checked all the vac hoses and found no
cracks or disconnected tubes. Will do more test then report back here.

Yes, this does get rid of the P0410 code completely.

Yeah, I love it as well. All my friends make fun of me and call it pink though! Good luck with this, I haven't thrown a code since!

Did this 1 day ago. So far no check engine light and the car is running great. Hoping for another good year of Volvo driving.
Thanks.

Check engine light came on after 2 days. Had the codes read and found the SAS fault code. So this is not working for me. Any suggestions?

I did not look super carefully through everything in the linked pdf, but does it say to use pins A32 and B38? If so, there is the problem - those are the wrong pins.

SAS delete requires pins A32 and A37. Go to the source where this was figured out, the instructions are crystal clear on the two ways to do this right:
