Make sure you smack that rotor from behind, or tap gently on the front, those blue and red circles (especially the blue) are where you do not want to be smackin.
I see that small pin that holds the tire in position is still on, you must have that removed before that rotor comes off (between the top two red circles) ;)

I personally use a wooden block, not metal, when smackin stuff like that apart. Keeps the shrapnel to a minimum!

There are plastic clips that secure the rear brake lines to the frame. What you will do is not elegant and it needs to be done slowly so as to not kink the brake line.

Locate the plastic clip and pop the brake line out of the clip. From there gently - slowly - move the caliper off of the rotor and then suspend it with a piece of bailing wire or whatever you have and from whatever is handy - it changes from both sides of the car. It will slightly deform the brake line but try to form it back so that it snaps back into the clip when you put things back together.

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks Lee. It makes complete sense. Sketchy, but makes sense. Is there another way?
I'll be trying again Thursday and following up with a write-up hopefully

Sure. You can always remove the brake line but 9 times out of 10 you will wind up ruining the fitting in the process which means that you need to cut off the end of the line, replace the fitting, and then re-flare it.

Once the line is released from the clips it really isn't a big strain on the line so long as you don't move the caliper very far away from the rotor and support it.
