V40 (for US), 2001 - Serpentine Idler Pully Replacement

Post by ST 1 »

The idler pully on the tensioner is starting to make grumbling noises and is making the tensioner appear jumpy. I have the part but I need to know if the bolt holding the pully onto the tensioner is Left (lefty tighty) or Right (righty tighty) handed threaded. I dont want to ruin the tensioner (really Bad) or the bolt (also really bad).

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

The repair books do not state that this bolt is out of the ordinary so assume it is a right handed thread.
