my crankshaft pulley is moving to the degree it has cut into the timing belt cover. How do i adjust or remove (renew )pulley . single nut version is in centre of pulley thanks pete

The crankshaft pulley is actually a harmonic balancer which in basic terms is a pulley with a rubber insert to absorb vibrations from the engine. Over time the rubber breaks down and the pulley can, as in your case, separate and damage the timing cover. The only remedy is to replace the pulley.

Do a search in the RWD forum for replacing the timing belt which explains how to remove the bolt holding the pulley to the crankshaft.
