2005 S40 2.4i alternator

Hey Everyone,

The alternator in my 2005 S40 went bad and I ordered one from the states to replace it. The company sent the replacement alternator and it came with a few extra parts such as connector, ground wire, and air condition hose. The connecting wires on my car is for 3 prongs which went to the old alternator, however the new one has two. There is supposed to be some instructions for splicing wires together to fit the newer alternator however I've had no luck with finding the right person to ask. Any ideas? Has anyone heard of this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
