940 turbo 2litre estate

Engine management system shuts down engine emissions logo appears engine restarts after 1-5 minutes. may not happen again for weeks but has happened three times in 5miles. Emissions logo disappears usually overnight. Main Volvo dealer spent 2 hours and charged me an arm and a leg for spraying all electrical joints with WD 40 and could not find anything wrong. they said code 144 was in the memory, but is was inconclusive regarding the fault. the fault reoccurs more often in wet weather.

I year model is your Volvo ??

Bad fuel pump relay can sometime cause code 144.
