Shattered rear quarter over the weekend. The one with the alarm system / glass breakage sensor traces going through it, 2 little terminals at the top of the window.
Can this be replaced with a normal window without affecting other alarm system functionality? Will alarm system need dealer adjustment to work like this? I'm seeing $750+ to fully replace it and I just can't do it.
Also, upon further examination I see that the other side window does not have the wires going through it -- assuming this one has been replaced but I haven't looked closely to see if there is evidence of those terminals at the top.
I've also seen mention of there being an antenna in some of these windows? true?
Any recommendations? Would love to avoid a trip to the dealer for this, and am not too worried about losing the breakage sensor functionality. Thanks!
Cheers, j
