Volvo as of today is now 100% owned by Geely (The Chinese)

Well, they are keeping the manufacturing in Sweden and Belgium, so that's something. If Geely just supplies the cash, and doesn't attempt to influence the product, everything should be fine.

Otherwise, look out.

Actually the "product" needs influencing, hopefully though for the better

I didn't expect it, but Tata has actually been a good thing for Jaguar, so I am crossing my fingers about Geely.

Hopefully job 1 is to get rid of the "environmentally friendly" plastics and adhesives and build panels that will actually hold up. My big fear is that stuff like control arms and axles will be worse than ScanTech made of junk Chinese steel.
