I went to my local volvo guy for an oil change and in the process he also checked the code that is causing the CEL to come on. It came out P1171. He metioned something about a sensor that is checking the fuel air mix. Well, he cleared the code and it stayed off for most of the day but it has come back on. Is there a larger problem with this code?
Thanks.
P1171 code 01 V70 2.4t

Have you cleaned your MAF sensor? One of the easiest and cheapest eliminations of your problem...this code tells you that something is not right with your fuel air mixture. Not saying that this will fix the problem, but a step in the right direction.
