Manual transmission help

Post by love2xlr8 »

hi

i would like to know if someone ever replaced a clutch from a 1994 850 turbo manual. how hard is it and if there is any steps i should take.

it would be also appreciated to get some info about the clutch. someone told me the volvo clutch is assembled with rivets with the pressure plate and fly wheel, is that true?

thank you

850 clutch assembly (kit) comes with 3 SEPARATE components, throwout bearing, pressure plate, and clutch disk. Flywheel should be resurfaced. Don't forget to replace the engine rear main seal while trans. is out. The job is not easy if you don't have a lift and special tools to hold the engine in place. Lets put it this way, it is not a job for an average Joe. 8)
