Distributor.

Was told I need a distributor for my 1995 850. Had someone send me a distributor from a parts car I have stored. I must say except from changing cap and rotors on my 3-850's, I have never send this type. I grew up on 30 degrees dwell set with feeler ga. and confirmed with a dwell meter. But rotor, shield, couple funny looking plates and a bolt. Is that all there is?

Yeah, that's all

The "plate" thingy looks like it's out of place or should be attached to something, but it just sits freely in between the cap & rotor.

A learning experience is one of those things that says, "You know that thing you just did? Don't do that."
