V70XC AWD SE 2000 AC Defrost fan not working

The fan on my Air conditioner comes on for about 5 seconds and then shuts off. I have tried all of the speeds and the auto temp but nothing works. Not sure if it is a sensor or the fan motor. I have 120K miles and the AC was recharged last summer.
Any suggestions?

Now that the weather has changed and it is much cooler the fan works perfectly. Has anyone had this problem with their XC?
Now the fan works but the AC will run for a while and then stop but the fan still runs. I shut it off for a while and then turn it back on and it works for a while and then the AC stops and the fan continues to work.

Help someone?
