Depends how much you are looking to spend.

A good start on a GLT motor would be getting rid of the wimpy 13T turbo and putting on a 16T turbo and doing a re-map. There are several options out there for that, so do some research & shop around.

The 2.4 motor can actually be made to have a bit more zip than the T5 motor, since it has a higher compression ratio.

Just do an ECU flash
These engines respond VERY well to that
It will give you over 30 more HP plus nearly 35+ more lbs of torque!!! and makes a neat street car.
Yes, you will still puke out at about 5300 RPM but low and mid range is torrid!
