I am about to replace the front brake disc rotors on my 2000 S40. Have done this before on Honda Civics but never on a Volvo.
My question is do I just basically take off what you I and then replace?
What size socket do I need take the main nut off (behind the cotter pin)?
Anything special that I need to disconnect or relieve (with the exception of the master cyclinder presssure of course) prior to starting?
Surprised that my 1999 Hayes Volvo S40 manual doesn't give me details on how to do this?
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

It is a straight forward job. Why do you want to take off the main nut? It doesn't hold the disc (rotor) in place, that is the job of the small spigot pin.
