For those with ABS, is it normal for your car to go through some sort of ABS system check the first few minutes of turning your car on?
I just had my ABS module serviced and since I put it back in I am hearing sounds from under the hood the first few minutes of driving and occasional throughout my drive. Im thinking it is some kind of system check on the ABS, with the pump or solenoids, but not too sure if this is normal activity or if something is wrong. Previously, my ABS light was on and I wasn't getting this symptom, but now I my ABS light is off and this is happening everytime.
Is there an ABS system check on start up?

Yes, this is completely normal. The ABS computer does two self test. One when the car first turns on and one at 20 MPH. You probably never noticed it before because the ABS controller was bad.

Thanks, that is exactly what is happening and I thought it was probably normal but nice to be reassured.
