Diagnose CV joint or wheel bearing problem?

Post by 2001VolvoXC70 »

So I hear a winding noice that increases with speed. When turning right the noice subsides. When I turn left the noice is louder. Normally I would diagnose this as a wheel bearing but is it possible that this sound could come from the or cv joint? How would I diagnose whether it is a wheel bearing or something else?
They've done studies you know. 60% of the time I work, every time!
