engine turnin over but wont start on my 02 v70 (2.4)

I am having trouble getting my 2002 v70 wagon to start. When I turn the key, the engine turns over but the car dies. I've tried numerous times turning the key and seeing if I can get it to fire up but it won't. I've tried pushing the gas pedal when the engines turning over, and yes there is gas in it. Any good ideas or information for me? Thanks!

Have you had any recent work done or changed anything lately?
When you say it "dies" do you mean it will fire briefly, then die, or does it not fire at all?

If it were one of the earlier models, that sounds exactly like an antenna ring problem.

I'm going to move your post to the 2001 & newer section, where hopefully you'll get an answer from someone who knows the newer models better.
