Fuel Smell Outside of Car

Hello - I am the original owner of a 02 XC70 with 78000 miles. In the last week I have noticed a smell of gasoline outside of the car, most noticeably after it has been parked for a while. My husband checked under the car and there does not seem to be an leakage of fuel. Has any one else experienced this issue and if so what was the fix? My Volvo dealer said it could be a cracked fuel pump or flange. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Is the smell worst after a fill up, it can be a cracked fuel pump flange. There is a recall for this item for your model year.

Call the dealer and make appt for the fuel pump recall.

Dealer RECALL they should fix..n/c

Thanks for info. Crack in fuel pump and the dealer did fix it at no charge.
