It has got 80K miles on it, how much does it worth and does it need any big service soon according to the manual? what should I be looking for in the car and any recalls?
Please advise me on this car.
Thanks in advance...
Please advise for 2004 S60 AWD 2.5T

Sure they are.
What's the specific question(s)? (and in good English please).

My question is, are these cars having any kind of typical problems that I should be aware of? Are there any recalls? Considering the year and the mileage, what kind of service should have been done so far? Is the timing belt change interval 100K as well? I offered 6500 and they accepted it. Is this a good price? The rear seats have some tears and loose stitches on the head rests, which is ok for me as long as car runs strong.
Please advise me before I buy it, I am going in the morning, any help will be appreciated.

If the seats have tears it is a fairly trashed car
The price is a hair low for a good one so have it checked out by a VOLVO mechanic before you exchange MONEY
105K or 7 years so a T belt is due soon
Have the AWD checked but if you're in New Orleans do you need the aggrevation of AWD?
It's not a simple answer
If the car has good service records it should be OK
If not, and it was NOT serviced well, now is about the time for things to break
Does it have service records, if not, walk away

Thanks for your reply.
I wanted to bring it to my volvo mechanic but the car is located about 90 miles away from us so I am not going to be able to get it checked. I am going to drive it and see how it goes. I don't think the seller (Louisiana federal credit union company) has the service records. That is why I'd like to gather as many as information I can gather and make my final decision.
AWD is not my choice, it just comes with this car
so why wouldn't I take it? isn't it better than 2wd?
I just checked and found some recalls on this car, i wonder they are all applied to the car, what is the best way to check? if i call volvo and give them VIN #, will they be able to tell me if all recalls have been applied?
If I get everything like service records, very well maintained volvo and etc, the price wouldn't be 30% lower than what it is..
here is the link to the car http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... MEWAX%3AIT

I would pass.
It's been in a rear ender (accident) for one thing
It's a NY car for the next thing, poor roads (suspension issues), salted roads (possible rusly undercarraige) for the next
How it wound up in the deep South is another thing altogether.
Why not an AWD?
Because if one of the components fails it can be THOUSANDS of dollars to repair it!
I would not recommend a late model Volvo to anyone in your area, not many places that can work on it plus it's too cheap so You have to know it needs some work and/or the repair work from the accident was poorly done and in fact it's worth even less

Hello again,
I went to see the car this morning, the car looks hot, checked the back of the car inside and out, no noticeable repair marks, inside looks clean, driver and passenger front seats are almost in perfect cond. the rear seats have some tears but no big deal. They must have carried something in the back i guess don't know.
The car runs good, however, when I checked the oil, the level was at almost minimum, so I asked the owner to get 2 qrts of oil, so she did, and 2 qrts filled it, then took a test drive. brakes and rotors are good, engine sounds good too.
I haven't seen any leakage but told her that it is not a normal thing to loose 2 qrts of oil and she didn't know when was the oil changed last time. So she is going to take it to the volvo this Tuesday and and get it checked.
I also asked her to ask the dealer to find out if all of the recalls have been applied.
I am really excited about this car, if you give me your address, i will send you the pics. i took some today
