Bought 17" rims for my 850..which tire size?
I just got a smoking deal on a set of 17" rims so now i need to get tires for it. Which tire sizes would work without rubbing? I've read 215/45/17, 205/45/17 and 225/45/17 works. A bit confused with all the mixed answers from other posts. It is 17x7.

Get the 215/45's. They won't rub and ride better than the 205/45's. I don't know about the 225/45's, maybe somebody else can chime in on that.

225 45 17 will rub on the inner wheel arch when on full lock but you can fit steering lock stops to prevent the rubbing, at the rear of the car they will rub if the cars heavy laden and cornered at speed - Mike

agree I run 225/45/17 on full lock I do get a bit of scrubbing as they came with the wheels, I would suggest a 215/45/17 if you dont want scrubbing

A great resource for tire sizing info is 1010tires.com They have a calculator that details out the tire sizes and compares them..shows the percentage your speedo would be off...etc.. It appears as though the 850R came stock with 205/45/17. But I'm running 215/45/17's right now very comfortably.
