S60 T5 2002 SRS Airbag Urgent Service light

Post by Paul S60 T5 »

While seacing under the driver seat for my 17month olds missing shoe i accidently disconneted the Airbag lead - I have reattached this but the SRS airbag light is still on.
Is this an easy reset or not?

In the future think I will take the childs shoes off before I put her in the car beacuse she does this anyway.

It has to done by the dealer and your SRS system won't work until it's reset.

i had the same message come up when the cabling on my drivers door on my s60 2001 were plugged out by my mechanic while battery was connected,i did think i would have to go to the dealer to reset but a local merchanic with a hand held code reader unit reset it no problem,it did have to be put in as a 2002 before it would recognise but it did clear it,i tryed to find out which model code reader it was by looking through the internet but couldnt find model,i will have another look later if i find out i will send another message

thanks, I will see if anyone has one around. I made the dumb mistake of not disconnecting the battery before working on my v70

The "PPC Diagnostic" code reader will also reset SRI, read all codes, and clear the SRS air bag light. But check to see if it will work with your particular model.
