Volvo 850 1996

I have a Volvo 850 estate 1996. For the past two months when i start the car cold it runs fine, however when i have gone a few miles and the engine is warm it starts to miss. The hotter the engine gets the worse the missing gets. If i pull away at lights i have to rev to about 3000 for the car to respond. I have had two different garages look at the car and they cannot locate the problem. Is there anyone who has suffered the same problem with their car as i am frustrated at the problem no one seems able to locate never mind fix. Cheers Kevin Gallagher
