removing the distributor cap...HOW

Trying to get a screw driver between the firewall and the cap is ridiculous, I bought the smallest screw driver that I could find and its still too long. Whats the trick? Was this a joke by Volvo? Please help as I am going to wind up in an asylum shortly.

You may find it easier to use right angle screwdrivers. Most good toolshops would stock them.

An 8mm wrench is needed to loosen the screws. A screwdriver isn't going to work.

Three M8 screws which are captive so you don't drop them down the back of the engine.
