HID bulb failure warning
HID bulb failure warning
I've had HID's for almost half a year now and since they use such low voltage the bulb failure light comes on and then goes off periodically... anyone know how to disable it... or another solution...?

there's some type of resistor set up you could place on the circuit, since all its looking for is the load, the place where you bought the kit should sell this set up

The car looks for 55W. Some kits are 35W, so the warning mode is triggered. There are products to remedy this, but I don't know which is best or where to buy from.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

You need to know the current the HID unit is pulling then add a metal clad resistor between the wire supplying current to the balast unit to top up the current drawn to 4,6 Amps, its all basic ohms law but without knowing what current is flowing in each headlight feeder wire its difficult to prescribe a specific resistance value.
Note the current flowing in the left and right headlight feeder cables needs to be the same for both sides otherwise you will trigger the bulb fail circuit - Mike
