Hello,
I have a 1998 V70R with a sc-900 stereo and what I believe is a 4x100W amplifier mounted under the passenger seat. The model number on the amp is 9452029.
The amp was recently soaked with rain water (enough said) and a couple of days later stopped working. My hubby, who is a SAAB mechanic has tried fixing it but with no success. He was told by the Volvo guys at his dealership that this is an expensive amp and that it is hard to find used.
My questions are:
Am I correct about the amp info? Is that the model # and size?
Where (in the states or online) can I find this amp? I tried eBay but see nothing right now.
Is there another amp that would work with the sc-900?
I can't stand the 3 disc changer on the sc-900 is there another option of head and amp that could be easily installed and sound as good?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! Liddy
(Please let me know if additional info would be helpful)

A. You may get another amp from a boneyard. This is your cheepest option to fix.
B. A good car stereo shop (not Best Buy or Circuit City, try a Tweeter if you have them) will be the most knowledgeable about if you can replace just the amp or if you have to do the entire system.
Good luck.
