Sorry to bother u guys again...
Anyways occassionally the coolant light on my 97 Volvo 850 comes on... (the symbol with a radiator and a fan) It usually just stays on a few seconds and then it'll be off... And sometimes I notice the light tend to appear when I go uphill or downhill...
anyways, should I just add some coolant to the tank? Which brand of coolant should I buy? Is this a big problem if I ignore it?

Sounds like the coolant level is low enough to trigger the warning light when it sloshes to one side of the bottle (climbing hills, etc.)
Add a 50/50 mix of standard ethylene-glycol antifreeze and distilled water to top up the overflow bottle to the lower fill mark when the engine is cold.
