1989 240dl won't start
yesterday I rearended someone getting off the freeway when it was raining. I hit a 4runner about 8 miles per hr. skidded rite into them. no damage to there vehicle. my car won't start now. I pulled the starter out and had it tested. They said it was bad. replaced it with a new one. It still won't start. my son crossed the starter with a screw driver and it turns over now but still won't start. i'm wondering if there is some electrical relay or switch that disingages when you hit something. can anyone give me some advice. thank you ed
will it do anything at all? like do you have lights etc with key on? i replaced the fuse to my fuel pump a couple weeks ago and bumped a wire loose without noticing and while driving the next day everything died on me, no starting, no lights, no radio, nothing. turned out i had bumped a wire loose that goes to the postive post on the battery, check all your connections by the battery, im not sure what exactly that is, but it couldve come loose on yours as well.
