Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Sometimes the routing of the cable from the crank sensor passes by the heavy power cable for the starter motor and fudges up the signal, this is what causes your tacho to jump when you crank it. That said I dont think that, by itself would cause a hard start condition. I have the same issue, and low compression in two clyinders and it still fires up OK.

Start out by shielding and or re-routing the signal cable from your crank position sensor...

After that, if you ar still having starting issues go for the basics (if they haven't been done already): Spark plugs (single electrode, copper, gapped to .028") & fuel filter.
