1999 S40 Silver Air Hose

Hi,

Bought the above a couple of days ago; amazing condition, bodywork really like new; same owner for the last 9 years!Hopefully you won't hold it against me!

Couple of minor things as to be expecte with a car this age>

Silver air hose, which is at the rear top of the engine compartment, cracked> Looks like aluminium, just looking for the part name so I can order one; I've spent hours trawling the web trying to get a diagram of it!

As the car was sitting for a couple of months, the handbrake wasn't releasing on the rear nearside, but I took the wheel of and WD40'd it and it seems to have worked.

Thanks in advance; looking forward to having a nose around.

Could you share which motor/trans you have.

or even send me your vin.

If you have a picture you could upload it.

If it is a big silver tube that goes over the motor it may be your OTE pipe (over the engine) that goes from the turbo to the intercooler.

Please let us know the dimensions of the tube and where it starts and ends.

Yes large silver hose; connects at the rear of the engine, nearest windscreen; then connects to a large plactic box ( assume air filter ) to the right.

Is this car turbo, or NA?...If NA, it looks to me like it is the pre-heater hose, made of pleated aluminum, P/N 308501110...
