Hello everyone,
I have an 1997 850 Volvo not a GLT or Turbo that has a hose that was taped and has broken. It appears to go into the top part of the engine and down to the block maybe. It is a silver hose that appears to be corrugated. Any ideas? I would like to order a new one.

That hose brings warm air into the air filter box from near the exhaust. It's not an essential part but if you are in Wisconsin I would replace it.
You can pick up a generic one at an auto parts store for about $15, just bring in pieces of the old one to get the correct diameter. They are usually found in the exhaust parts section. You can probably order it online too but I've never done it that way.

Quick scan of Volvo parts shows a listing for a part 16 with no part number, so probably not available from Volvo
