crankcase ventilation

Post by v70t5driver »

Is there any maintenance that we have to do with the CV. I have heard
many storries about gasket or oil seal leaking. The car is a v70 t5 2001
Thanks

Rear main seal leaks can be a result of pressure in the crankcase from a clogged PCV system. Regular oil changes will go a long way toward preventing the sludge buildup that can clog it. Synthetic oil is especially good at keeping an engine clean.

No way would I put Gunk in the engine; it'll make it leak worse. If you want to use something to clean the engine up, use Auto-RX, but do replace that front crank seal first or you may run in to problems.
