Can I put 17" V70 Wheels on my 2005 XC70?

Post by movmedia »

I have a 2005 XC70. 80,000 miles. Live in Colorado at 8,000 feet. My wife is begging for better traction on snow and ice.

So, I am looking for a set of wheels and studded snow tires. Found a set of 17" aluminum wheels from a V70 with 225 45 17 road tires on them: goodrich sv308.
Wondering if these wheels and tires will work properly on the XC70 for summer driving ?

If so, I will put a studded snowtire on my original 16" wheels. I'd appreciate your comments.
thanks

(PS: just posted this to the pre 2000 forum also- by mistake)

Yes, they are the same bolt pattern and the offset of the V70 and XC70 are the same. You should not have any issues.
