SRS-Airbag light on

I had my S80-T6 1999 stalled on the road. it lost all its power and had to be towed. A Non-Dealer mechanic replaced the alternator. After theat the SRS light is on.
Does this mean that the SRS is having problem and needed to be fixed?Or it is the electrical isue and the error message which is a 'speciality' of S80's. Are there any suggestions?.
Will the restting this light will take care? and how to do it?

SRS light can be resetted on your local dealer, I think there is no fault in your car. SRS light will come on (and stay on) if you disconnect the battery, as they did when you had your S80 repaired.
