Re: HID Lights

I have a 35W 4500K kit in my ABM projectors. The light is pure white, very nice! I hate the blue/purple colors, especially in headlight housings that aren't meant to have HIDs.

I am seriously considering changing the existing headlights for a full HID system. I have two questions though. 1-Do I need to buy two separate HID assemblies (one for low and one for high). 2-Is it really worth the effort to change the highs as well? I'm thinking that the more light the better especially farther down the road. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Highs don't make a lot of sense. Usually you only need the brights for a few seconds, especially since it sucks to blind others. The main problem is that HIDs have a warm-up time. By the time they are fully bright (10-15 seconds) usually you won't need them. Constant on/off wears out HIDs quickly too.

HID do not work as intended in reflectors such as those used on 850 and v70. If the projector lamps with HID lights piss me off. Great for the driver shit for all other roads users.
Life would be enjoyable if it wasn't so painful to live.
