Resetting Check engine and service lights

I have a 1995 Volvo 850 GLT with both the service and check engine light on. Does anyone know how to reset these 2? Do I go trough the OBD ll box infront of the gearshift inside the car or via the 2 boxes behind the pax headlight in the engine comp?
