Newman3son - Did you actually remove the motors and inspect the ends of the damper flap shafts? The motor can run all day but if the shaft is split it won't move the damper flap.
The same question applies to Phat78ta.

I cant actually get to my damper motors, since they are tucked behind the down vents on my unit. I can see the little black box, and can touch them, but cant see the shart section.
I opened the heater core housing, and ran the car to temp. I put the controls on heat. I ran the fan at full blast, and air was indeed coming out from the openings where I separated the housing, pretty strong wind. slightly warmer on the driver side than passenger side. I shut off the fans and held my fingers against the heater core fins....cool on passenger side, and slightly warm on driver side. I let the engine run a few more minutes without the fan blowing. Heater core was HOT to the touch now. Turned on fans, blew hot for about 10 seconds, then dropped off to warm/cool again. Touch test of core indicated slightly hot on drvier side, and slightly warm on passenger side I would have expected the whole unit to be HOT by then. I guess my core is not circulating enough hot water to maintain a hot temp with fans blowing.

I was able to access the motor on the drivers side, all be it a pain in the rear. The shaft looks ok, as far as I can see. I didn't pull it all apart, so idk if the core is suspect or not, but I'm assuming its sure to the passenger side heat being normal.
