It has been a great car for 90,000 miles 3 years. Kept it serviced by myself, and it just started 6 months back with the Transmission service required, then the ABS, and check engine. I have found any time I drive it 3 to 4 days, around town, to expect a reboot by disconnecting the battery. Last night I got the ABS, Check engine, Transmission, then a battery alarm, then the check engine. Closest Volvo dealer is 50 miles, engine is a no start, as starter does not enguage. Can not check alt output.
Left it unhooked overnight, now I have the SRS airbag, urgent message. I am trying the 5 min. battery and reboot in Position II. Any other advise? Thanks, lots of smart Volvo guys with good information, just joined today, but I am impressed.

The no start sounds like an immobilizer problem, lock/unlock the doors 5 times to reset it. See if it starts after that.
As for the warning lights, seems like the famous ABS module failing, search for it on this website or on google you'll find info on how to repair it, or get it repaired. Good luck.

Thanks jbrown122, tried the 5 times lock, from outside with the key, and inside with the door lock. It still has SRS airbag service urgent, and a no start. I tried it with the key in the ignition, and in position II, and without. Anything I omitted, on the immobilizer?
The warning lights now are oil and Check engine, all else is gone.

The oil and check engine lights are the only ones that will stay on when they key is in II after about 5 seconds, so that's normal. The other lights will probably come back on once the car is started.
Can you try starting the car with a different key?
Check for a loose battery cable, start at the starter, it should be clean and tight.
